DJ Khaled Goes Undercover As Billy The Locksmith For Lyft

Mega producer, Snapchat aficionado, and all-around funny guy DJ Khaled has joined forces with ride-sharing service Lyft as he went undercover as a driver as a part of the company’s new promotional campaign.

Introducing himself as “Billy the Locksmith,” the Miami-based producer “disguised” himself in sunglasses and a baseball hat. He transported unsuspecting passengers around town who, for the most part, didn’t really know who he was.

“Billy the Locksmith” is certainly a clever choice of pseudonym, as the producer’s newest album, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 music chart, is titled Major Key.

As he drove passengers around, Khaled spoke certain hints as to his true identity, including frequently using the word “keys” and referencing his most popular songs, including the popular Jay-Z and Future assisted single from Major Key entitled “I Got The Keys.”

“What’s that song, I got the keys, the keys, the keys, the keys? Future and Jay-Z’s on it and some guy is screaming on there and everything he talks about is keys,” Khaled said o a passenger, funnily enough.

“But it’s so crazy because I’m a locksmith and I got they keys.”

Let’s all hope that one day we can be driven to our destination by the affable hip-hop producer.
